“Everything is lies” was chosen for the book club I attend and I can tell you it was a very good choice.
Helen Gallaghan tells the story of Sophia, a rather ordinary girl on a night out with her work colleagues in London. She receives a phone call from her mother and her reaction is just a normal dismissive one, wanting to be left alone and have fun rather thank listening to nagging parents.

This is one of those “can’t put down” books. I wanted to find out what’s going on from page one. It captivated me and made me hold my breath in awe so many times and at the end I was speechless.
Because if everything you’ve been told is lies, then how dangerous is the truth?
The beginning doesn’t give much away but it sure captivates any reader who picks this book. You know something will happen and it makes you want to discover it all. At some stage I thought I have it all figured out and knew where the plot is heading. But, oh, was I wrong?! The insane plot twist towards the end is an unexpected one that left me speechless and made me love this book even more.
This book makes you question everyone around. It makes you wonder who tells you the truth and who is hiding some deep dark secrets, ready to come out and destroy everything you thought real.
“Everything is Lies” is definitely a * * * * * read
