I was desperately looking for a chick lit, giggles and romance after reading so many thrillers and dramas lately.
After “When Rosie met Archie” I thought I need another romantic read before going back to my genre and I found “sorry, not sorry” by Sophie Ranald.
It promised laugh out loud moments, romance and all the package I needed and it delivered lots.
I’ve read about roommates, friendships, jealousy, intrigue, trust, finding the idea of love and running for THE ONE, about how a podcast can influence your life in this day and age and about the insane boss (we all have one in our offices) who’s not that bad once you get to know better (keep your distance still for professional reasons).
I smiled and I read some more, curious of what will happen next but I can say that somehow this book didn’t do much for me.

In an effort to change her life, Charlotte stumbles upon a podcast entitled “Sorry Not Sorry” and the adventure starts here. She feels that being a good girl is getting boring so she’s determined to get out there and explore.
“I’ve been “broadening my horizons”,’ I said, doing air quotes. ‘Trying new things. So today I went to a running club. I know, I should have known better and I’m ridiculously unfit and it’s all my fault. But they said they were relaxed and friendly. They said they welcomed runners of all abilities. What they didn’t say was that they were doing a special training session today for the Tough Mudder.”
It’s real and I do strongly believe that life is like that and sometimes you sleep with a married man (without knowledge) and you do want to do the right thing, I do believe that sometimes you do crazy things to survive and help your family and yes, sometimes your prince charming is loaded and gives you the proper fairytale but learn that the prince always has high hopes and demands, the boss always wins and a podcast is just a podcast and not a law to live by.
I enjoyed it but I didn’t love it. However, if you want a cute, romantic story, easy to read and funny at times, I do highly recommend this one.
