World Book day

This year was a first for my daughter. As a little booknerd she managed to actually take part in World Book Day dressing up and talking about how much she loves book.

We went to her dance class where everyone got dressed as Elsa (not quite a book character but this is the world we live in).

I was planning on finding an Alice in Wonderland outfit but last minute shopping is not a good idea so a quick trip to Disney store had to do. Amongst Belle, Elsa, Anna and Cinderella there it was. Such a beautiful Rapunzel dress. I imagined my daughter wearing it and I had to get it.

Do I need to mention that she hated it? Yes. She did. And she said she won’t wear it because her favourite book is The Gruffalo. (fair enough. we carry her book everywhere we go. she is obsessed with it but I couldn’t find a Gruffalo outfit for a three year old girl. Options are limited )

In the end she got to be Rapunzel. She danced around and was so proud of her outfit she wouldn’t want to take it off. And despite of her princess outfit and look, she got to talk about the Gruffalo and told everyone how much she loves him.
