MY KINDLE LIBRARY

Hello everyone. I hope you are all safe and adjusting to the new normal imposed by the current situation. I have been trying to keep a positive attitude and read only happy ending stories to lift up the mood.

I can’t complain. I rather count my blessings than see the negative side of this madness that fell upon us all like a curse. The weather is getting nicer in here (UK that is) and I managed to take my daughter outside (on the bit of green we got outside our building) to get some fresh air, keeping the distance from others. It is all so surreal and feels like we are all actors in a scary movie but it is the new normal so we have to adjust.

Before everything closed I managed to buy some new books in Waterstones but couldn’t ignore the offers for Kindle either, therefore my virtual library got richer recently. Being a book nerd since childhood made me very reticent to the new e reads and audio books but last year I received this little device as a birthday present and decided to try it. Well, loved the fact that I can take it with me everywhere but then again … I can always take books with me isn’t it? It is ideal for travels and it became my best friend while abroad on holiday.

What made me write this post? Let me tell you how I got myself in a bit of a pickle with this Kindle of mine. See, I have it registered on my old email address and linked with my Amazon that I recently discovered, has only Video Prime and it comes with my Vodafone offer. Because I couldn’t change this option I was forced to open a new Amazon account to get full Prime and Amazon fresh (who doesn’t need groceries on their doorstep under the circumstances?). I have contacted customer service and I was told that I cannot transfer my books from one account to the other although the home address is the same, name of the account holder is the same and payment method is like you guessed, the same. We all know that Amazon Prime has different deals on books as well comparing to just a simple Amazon account so as you all imagined, I do want to take advantage of that. WHAT AM I LEFT TO DO? Read all books in my current library, erase my Kindle account and link with new account after I am done.

Good thing I have to do this as I realised I have some great titles in there and completely forgot about. Here are some of the beautiful reads awaiting for me:

  • THE TWO LIVES OF LYDIA BIRD by Josie Silver
  • MY SISTER, THE SERIAL KILLER by Oyinkan Braithwaite
  • CLOSER TO YOU by Adam Croft
  • SIX STEPS TO HAPPINESS by Suzie Tullett
  • THE EX GIRLFRIEND by Nicola Moriarty
  • TWAS THE NIGHTSHIFT BEFORE CHRISTMAS by Adam Kay
  • THE BUTTERFLY ROOM by Lucinda Riley
  • NOTHING IMPORTANT HAPPENED TODAY by Will Carver
  • THE LIBRARY OF LOST AND FOUND by Phaedra Patrick
  • STOP AT NOTHING by Tammy Cohen
  • THE MUM WHO GOT HER LIFE BACK by Fiona Gibson
  • CONVENIENCE STORE WOMAN by Sayaka Murata

Have you read any of these titles? What shall I read first?

  1. Your kindle will have an email id. Check your previous account for the email id. And in your new account, change the new kindle id to old one. I guess this should work. When I registered my new kindle to my amazon account, a new kindle email id was created and I could change it back to my old id. So I am guessing the reverse would work too.🙂
